jdmidwest Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Aren't they cute when they butcher the fish? They play with them like cats play with toys. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Wayne SW/MO Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 They will stock more. No biggie. X2 Lots of people fish there and it could be poor handling. Hard to tell which predator it was. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Greasy B Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Yep, manufactured fish. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
oneshot Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 X2 Lots of people fish there and it could be poor handling. Hard to tell which predator it was. Well when you lay eyes on them doing it, it tends to leave no doubt. I know another hole on up I caught fish, cleaned then there, went back next day seen where Otters had ate my cleanings, couldn't get a bite in that hole for days. Just to let you know back in the '80's I helped stock Otters up North. I was concerned about them, was told there would never be enough to Trap they was more of a novelty. oneshot
XP 590 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I haven't seen them at Barclay lately but about two years ago, I saw a group of 6 or 8 of them chattering around there.
Members gwh Posted November 20, 2013 Members Posted November 20, 2013 Last Jan we saw two otters above the dam at Bennett. One had a fish on the bank of the island eating it. The other was swimming and came up to the surface to look at us every few minutes. Watched them for a few minutes as we fished up stream. Did not catch a fish in that area. Moved down to zone 2 and got back in to them.
