After a rough couple of weeks of fishing for a handful of bites was wondering if the bite changed yet with the fronts coming in. Saturday fished a club tourney out of Shell Knob 16 boats and by the end of the day 12 caught limits. I fished at the mouth of the rivers and caught 20 plus keepers all on a wart and when it was all over had 13.5 lbs never caught a fish over 4lbs. Several other guys stayed real close and fished alot of flat points and into the pockets with warts and spinnerbaits. A couple of them had 16.5 lb bags with 1 kicker in each of their bags the biggest fish that was brought in was a 6.48 he had 17.89lbs and he was the only guy fished deep with a jig. The weather wasnt a problem because we were catching alot of fish throughout the day. My non-boater had a rough estimate of how many fish I caught he said it was in the mid 60's. It was alot of fun. I fished main channel swing banks with the boat in 10-12ft. Water temps were 54-55.

Man, you are making it hard for me to stay home - but it's just too darn cold for me. Looking at the forecast, I'm thinking I might get out Friday. But thanks for the report, glad to hear they are on the bite!

I threw a blade off and on Saturday and only caught 1 fish and he was small but he thumped it. I figured a bigger bite would have come on the blade but I was doing to good on the wart but not good enough.

I'm thinking Friday is the day....

I hope so, with my luck they'll be suspended 75 feet down in 100 feet deep water, and won't touch nuthin'.

Good job, Sprint. Guess I should've spent more time throwing the Wart but I got sidetracked with the stick bait bite. You caught a lot more fish than we did.
