If Mizzou, FS and OSU all win out, I have a feeling the NC game will be between FS and OSU. I don't like it, but I don't see how Mizzou will jump over 2 undefeated teams. If Auburn wins out, they may have a shot at it considering they beat the #1 team, but they too may not be able to jump ahead of OSU in the polls. I think we need to see OSU lose to Michigan State next week for Mizzou to have a chance. I don't see FSU losing.

Who, at the beginning of the season, would have predicted an SEC title game between Auburn and Mizzou?

Auburn and Mizzou were a combined 2-14 in conference play last year...that's crazy they are playing each other for the SEC championship next week.

Mizzou would be #1 if it wasn't for a missed FG against South Carolina.

There are still many possibilities left some realistic some only Gene Rodenberry could come up with, but it is College Ball and I think some days he scripted the games. Who would ever have thought last night Auburn would win let alone with a win like that?

Florida will probably be in the Rose Bowl but who will the opponent be is the big question.

If the Buckeyes loose last week it gets very interesting, Most likely the winner of the SEC championship game will be the opponent. But with the Big 10 is not high on the list so its possible a 1-loss Sec team still goes even if the Eyes win out. Im all for Record V Record and if 2 undefeated teams are left they should play period. But the Eyes will be decimated by Florida. Their offense is week, yes they can score against lesser opponents but Florida is no way Lesser and their Defense in no way could stop Florida.

Now if both loose the Gene Rodenberry script comes in as it very possible it could be (and god help me for saying this) But it could be Bama and the SEC Champion. There is precedence for this "LSU V BAMA" or possibly Bama v Florida.

The greatest thin about college ball is it is not over until the last game is played in regular/championship games. Then and only then do we know who goes to the National Championship. We still have a lot of football left before we know.

FnF, I'm assuming you mean Florida State right?

Ohio State just needs to lose to Michigan State. And of course Missouri must beat Auburn. I don't see any other path, short of Duke beating FSU.

I don't think we can, or should, jump an undefeated OSU.

And that really sucks because OSU had a cakewalk of a season and that Michigan game proved it.

Maybe, that was for a tie.

Unless one of the present leaders stumbles Mizzou and Auburn will probably be left playing someone who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. With NIU, UCF and whoever waiting to crowd out a team that has battled in a big conference it looks bleak for a lot of good teams. The big worry is that after the smoke clears from the SEC championship game, AL will catch a good opponent in the Orange and AU and MO will get so so bowls.

The big one will obviously be the unbeaten, if 2 exist. OSU still has to play a very good MI State team and Duke can beat FSU if they run into injuries.

That was not a good performance, I agree. Michigan State has the talent (especially on defense) to really be a challenge. At the very least, a close, down to the wire game could take away from Ohio State. But it will probably take them losing.

If OSU loses and and Mizzou beats Auburn, can they break the love affair with AL?
