Members Bass Ivy Posted December 5, 2013 Members Posted December 5, 2013 Anyone got any updates on Stripers?
jolicious Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I dunno, but I'd imagine everything has been biting all day
Members Greg W Posted December 5, 2013 Members Posted December 5, 2013 I know that there are a couple of boats out and about.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Bass, I got in to a few a couple weeks back in Rocky Branch but most the reports and thoughts are between 12 bridge and Horse Bend. With this weather though I would bet Hickory Creek to War Eagle when its over https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members LarryC Posted December 5, 2013 Members Posted December 5, 2013 Two weeks ago they were up War Eagle right past the power line. Tuesday I started there but they had left. Fished back down to point 12 and up the White to a little past the marina. No fish and didn't see anything of interest on the graph. Water temp in the low 50's so the winter bite should be in earnest after this bit of nasty weather departs. Making Beaver Lake safe for all the little fish...one striper at a time.
Sore Thumbs Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I had one steal my Megabass jerkbait in Coose last sunday. Wrapped me around a tree and broke my line. $25 down the drain. Fun while it lasted though. My partner caught a big walleye right after I lost that stiper on the same bank. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
1969Larson Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Had a huge one boil at a topwater last evening over lots of bait and some big marks on the graph, but no catch.... in PC right between the buoys.

Thus why I don't fish expensive jerkbaits or any bait over $10 for that matter. The A-rig combined with terminal tackle and bait is expensive enough. Which is why I use 50lb braid..........it's gettin' back in the boat one way or another. LOL Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

LOL 50lb or 100lb braid if they wrap a tree 30 feet down you have lost a bait...but if you want to catch bass in the cold you have to work close to those trees because Mr Largemouth won't come out very far to get it.
