Quillback Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The SEC championship is scheduled to start around 3 PM Central with the ACC and Big 10 Championship games starting around 7 PM. If Mizzou wins the SEC, it will make those 7 PM games much more interesting for me. If Mizzou loses then I'm not going to care that much who wins the latter 2 games. In that scenario, Auburn fans would sure be interested.
ozark trout fisher Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Yeah, if Mizzou loses I'm probably done with college football until bowl season. With a win, I become the biggest Duke and MIchigan State fan on earth. Why does our only hope to reach the national championship in football come in the form of two basketball schools? Here's my favorite scenario that is totally going to happen-Mizzou wins, then Duke and MSU both pull the upset in their respective conference title games. Then our national championship? Missouri vs Alabama, and eight straight guaranteed. People think they are getting no SEC teams in the title and instead they'd get two. Part of the plan may require one of the biggest upsets in college football history, but let's not get too far into the details here:)
moguy1973 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 FSU's QB is going to be playing so Duke will have to have the game of their football history to win me thinks... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
stlfisher Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I can hardly wait until game time. It has been an agonizing slow week. I plan to watch the 7pm games too, but will be much more interested if MU manages to win tomorrow. If both OSU and FSU would loose...oh my. Can you imagine Auburn fans reaction if Bama would sneak back in? It should be a great Saturday of football. I think NIU plays tonight as well...it would be helpful if they would lose.

Blazerman Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I am guessing alot of big 12 teams would like to see Mizzou win. Because then they can say "see, the SEC isn't as big and bad as they think they are because Missouri walked right in and won the championship in 2 years".

Wayne SW/MO Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 You're probably 11/12ths right Blazer... Yes I believe that's right. I've watched college FB for many decades and for the life of me I cannot see where an all SEC NC shows they are a stronger conference. In fact it might be construed as a sign that they have a major weakness overall. They play there better out of conference games to start, so no love there. They are a premiere conference, but with 13 teams from prime FB areas they should be. The Big 12 tended to be stronger in the southern half then in the northern half and the PAC 12 also tends to be stronger in its southern half. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
