jpb2187 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 If fiberglass crankbait rods float your boat, there's a great sale going on @ Dick's online. Buy two Wright and McGill Rick Clunn crankbait casting rods and get them for $50.00 (Save $130.00) http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12860128&kw=rick+clunn&origkw=rick+clunn
Ham Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I bought two of the Clear water square bill rods. I was pleasantly pleased with them. NOT too heavy. I can feel the vibration from the bait. They load and throw the bait a LONG way. The proper action once you load up with a fish. The color grows on you. I think they are a good deal. Especially for $50 each. jeb Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I had one of the deep cranking sticks in that line a couple of years ago. Thing is a thick as a pool cue and is really heavy. I returned it. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Ham Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I really don't find them heavy. I'm sure a more expensive rod would be a little lighter and maybe more sensitive, but for $50. That's a decent rod for the money Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
