I bought two of the Clear water square bill rods. I was pleasantly pleased with them. NOT too heavy. I can feel the vibration from the bait. They load and throw the bait a LONG way. The proper action once you load up with a fish.

The color grows on you.

I think they are a good deal. Especially for $50 each.

I had one of the deep cranking sticks in that line a couple of years ago. Thing is a thick as a pool cue and is really heavy. I returned it.

I really don't find them heavy. I'm sure a more expensive rod would be a little lighter and maybe more sensitive, but for $50. That's a decent rod for the money
