dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I need help identifying this lure. A strike indicator is just a bobber...
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 I saw it once in a book, but I can't remember...thinking it was a Heddon... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 ...or south bend... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I believe it's an old Heddon Meadow Mouse. It might be a copy though, the hangers don't look Heddon, but everything else does? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 I don't thin so...it has a metal lip underneath with a hole...it shoots water out the top... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Old plug Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I will take this up to Laurie tomorrow and show the picture to Ed Bryant he is a collector. Owns Ozark Outfitters. I .am sure he can tell me.
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Thank you...I am anxious to find out what it is...thanks again... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
fishinwrench Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Creek Chub "Jigger": They were first produced in 1933, made in 2 sizes and 8 colors. Yours seems to be missing a line tie at the nose, or it is a very early production....or a copy (there was never a patent). Later original CC models had two line tie eyelets (one at the nose and another on the chin just forward of the lip) and the chin/belly area was more flattened than yours appears to be.
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Mine does not have the line tie at the nose and doesn't appear to have ever had one...(no visible hole) A strike indicator is just a bobber...
fishinwrench Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Are the eyes glass, plastic, or brass tacks ?
