check out my report on Upper Bull shoals. Buster is at it again. He says they are just starting to move up on his locations. He is catching about a walleye an hour plus some really nice bass. He had a client last week catch a 9 pound LM while after the Eye's.

Walleye are running about 50% keepers with some nice fish up to 6 pounds so far.

Good Luck

I wonder how walleye fishing is on table rock? I moved here from broken bow lake and caught a lot of walleye there. Are spoons good here for walleye? Catching bass on spoons ,but no walleye yet. Still trying!

My personal best walleye bit a spoon up the white river in July under a dock. 5.5 lbs was a big suprise but sure enjoyed him out of the skillet when I got back.

Tom:

The good news is that Table Rock grows large walleyes. My best was 13.75. I saw a 14.5. I have caught or seen several others above 10.

The sad news is that you must learn to hunt the fish. It's not like Lake of the Woods or Lake Erie.

Early Spring -> Jigs with chubs and soft plastics and jerk baits.

Late Spring/Early summer -> Worm Harnesses and Lindy Rigs.

Mid Summer -> Trolled Crank Baits

Late Summer -> Vertical Jigged Spoons

Fall -> Trolled Crank Baits

Early Winter -> Who knows?

There's a fitting line from the Eagles song The Last Resort;

"call someplace paradise

kiss it goodbye"

Of course they were referring to mid-19th century California, which took us a relatively long time to destroy. It's just a matter of scale.

I can't dance like I used to.

That is pretty much the kit and Cabootle. I think and am just guessing that Josh is fishing Table Rock. If not probably the pothole.

I fish tablerock a lot cause i live close to it but not for walleye. I go to bullshoals altho the pothole is a great place it isn't where we have been fishing. I have been farther down the lake fishing but there has been several guys at the pot hole i know they have been catching about 1 to two fish an hour with most of them short fish. We have been averaging 1 to 4 fish an hour with most in the just keeper range up to the 10lb range and a few bigger then ten pounds but most around keepers to 10lbs here is a 13lb walleye we caught last friday night
