Fishrman Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 My most productive colors have been a variation of Table Rock shad (rogue) on cloudy days, and blue back chrome orange belly on sunny days. If no wind I try to throw a grub in the same places. Never really had a lot of success on the grub, so I end up heading up kings hoping for dirtier water. My biggest problem is not color but finding those small locations they like to hand out in. That is why we fish I guess, to solve the puzzle. Stay warm guys.

We really love that chocolate " track a coon " muddy water. We've caught more big bass in that stuff than anybody can realize. Especially right after the mud-up, big red crankbaits, Jigs and gitzits.
merc1997 Bo Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 mud on table rock does tend to put bass up shallow. the trick in the colder mud is to figure out where and what. this extreme cold is going to put a hold on much of any bite for a while. need a week of warm up, and then things might pick up. bo
jolicious Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 jolicious can you post a few more pics of that painting station. thanks Rotisserie roller from Lowes thatvobe would buy for their grill.
Members Jozark Posted January 8, 2014 Members Posted January 8, 2014 Sore Thumbs which Megabass color are you referring too? I know Red is a hot color in other parts of the country, California Delta, Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, and the Ohio river. I have never thrown a jerkbait in any other color than a baitfish pattern, but one thing I have learned is that if you show them something they have never seen before. It works!
Sore Thumbs Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I'm not sure the name of the color. It is bright red with a matte finish and has some black stripes on it. I will try to find color and post it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Sore Thumbs Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Here it is. I guess its a dark blue back. It's called Viper Tiger. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Dewayne French Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Haven't used that one but it does look cool. But then again I buy anything that looks cool (I really need to stop that!!!) I bet it would be killer in those lakes were Red is the spring time deal
Sore Thumbs Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I can't find a suspending model. Do you guys think that I can take a slow rising model and weigh it down to suspend or is that gonna mess with the action? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Champ188 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Shouldn't be a problem. My suggestion would be to get some small diameter solder wire and wrap around the front hook. Shouldn't take much to neutralize the slow-rise action.
