shockley32 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Last week the upper ends of both arms had already started to get solid. Anyone have info on the main lake toward the dam? It's been a tough cold few days, hoping to get on the water this weekend with warmer temps, if it is even possible! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
MOPanfisher Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 As of yesterday you could find open water from about Wheatland Park to the dam, however finding a place to launch wasn't gonna happen, would have needed a helicopter. Warm weather and wind will help but when the lake gets this cold it takes a while.

Members CRW J-CLEV Posted January 14, 2014 Members Posted January 14, 2014 Any ice updates? What ramps are accessible, if any? Thanks. Headed down this weekend
MOPanfisher Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Just about all ramps are open. As of yesterday Pittsburg Landing was iced in, didn't get to Bolivar Landing, but I wouldn't count on it being open yet. Updated. Lightfoot and Wheatland are open, Bolivar is still iced in. You can see open water about where the long shallow point I know as Watkins Point is. Looked to be a little skim or floating ice above 83 marina, wouldn't want to hit it at 60MPH but wouldn't scare me away if I wanted to fish the area. Lots of little shad doing the "I'm dying please eat me dance" out there.

Members Conman64 Posted January 21, 2014 Members Posted January 21, 2014 Anyone have an ice/ramp update for this week?
MOPanfisher Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Don't know about Pittsburg Landing or Bolivar, but everything else should be fine. Hasn't been cold since they thawed out, and the wind will hinder ice formation witht he cold this week. If I make it to upper end this week I'll post the conditions.
Members Conman64 Posted January 21, 2014 Members Posted January 21, 2014 Thanks MOPanfisher. Now the real question... Can anyone share a bass fishing report? How about a water temp?
Jerry Rapp Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 report? I started throwing a spook around the island. Had 4 good keepers and a big musky chasing the spook. Luckily I got the spook back fast enough to use it another day. But I kept wondering if he was around. Water temp 72, cloudy morning. Moved out to the point of the island around 9:30 and started throwing a green pumpkin brush hawg with a 3/8 ounce sinker, tx rigged. Caught 20 keepers by noon. Best 5 went 24lbs 4 ounces. Decided to fish a deep brush pile over by Hermitage where I have caught several 6lb+ fish in the past, but then I woke up to see 3 inches of snow outside with a temperature of 15 degrees. Time for a nap..
