96 CHAMP Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 been organizing all my tackle and was wandering if any of you guys might no who makes these spinner baits, these are either 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz, i used to by these at kings harbor tackle store years back on route 39 up passed the turn off to the old rod and reel resort, they have been used a bit and sure would like to find more bought these from the ladies that worked there, they actually turned them on to me for night fishing and man have i caught some big fish on these down there as well as loz hope the picture is good enough and hoping that maybe someone can help me out here. thanks
Buzz Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 It looks similar to the old Cordells. My former father-in-law still makes them. I've caught some great fish out of Cape Fair on them, 3/8 oz. I think. I may still have one or 2 laying in the bottom of the tackle box. We used Indiana blades instead of hammered blades. They were the best for night fishing. Is the line tie wrapped wire or open? The Cordells we used, and he made, were wrapped wire. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
96 CHAMP Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 they are wrapped, they are a great night bait like you said

Members Jozark Posted January 13, 2014 Members Posted January 13, 2014 Doug, What is the name of your company or baits? Also where would one find where they are sold?
riverfish Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 if i was to guess i would say that steve and joni the former owners of kings harbor probably made those spinners, i believe they are still making some jigs and probably those very same spinners and can still be found at the harbor or at least a way to contact them... ie business card
Billfo Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Looks like the old Strike King Midnight Specials. I love'm. Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
96 CHAMP Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 well I called down to kings harbor and they told me that they were the RAT spinner bait made by hawg jaw and the man has since passed away and i have had no luck in finding if someone bought the company name , if anyone knows or finds something out i sure would appreciate it
Hazbin Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I was quite sure that was a Hawg Jaw made by Don Williams at Cape Fair years ago in the early 70's.
