Feathers and Fins Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I cleaned out the boat and changed it over to fishing mode but left the gun in the boat. So here I was minding my own business trying to catch some stripers ( found them and massive balls of bait ) and these two loud noise makers come interrupting my peace and quiet so I killed them. The monster had my attention when I lifted it Im use to picking up 12 to 14lb birds but this one felt a lot heavier so I weighed it in. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

BilletHead Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Good grief that is a big goose. What kind of beans? Brown, pinto, green, kidney, butter, black eyed peas? Maybe soy? Nice one Scott. Feathers and Fins Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Soy Marty, I think I know where it was getting them. Its me third biggest goose and I was excited, dam its funny I still get excited about a goose but the thing was huge and the fillets are thick. Now if I can figure out how to get close to the mallard sized ones ive been wanting one of them for a wall hanger for a while. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

JohnP Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Probably didnt say "Herooonk y'all" and said "Herooonk Eh" as it came in
Feathers and Fins Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Honestly Brit I know most the locals on site they are typically between about 10 and 14 lbs this one Is not one I had seen before it dwarfed all other birds that were with it. Its bad to say but I know the local population that good. You see them day in day out year in year out something like this stands out like a soar thumb. Combined with it had Beans in its gut free of the typical junk I find in local birds its a better bet it is from parts not around here. Sure it could be one I have not seen before but the odds are probably better its not a resident. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
