I picked up a package at local Cabelas on an impulse buy. I thought "why not". They do clean hands and eliminate gas odors. (Tried it first .....HAND! Hahaha)

I don't know that I buy the "fish attractant" idea. Smells a bit like a cross between some pine scent and maybe a bait smell.

Just curious.

Lots of people believe in WD-40?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I tried to upload a photo earlier, phone wouldn't let me.

Here is a pic of the product.

I'm skeptical to use these while fishing. The scent is so strong, I can't see it as being a "fish attractant", more like a deterant!

I'll pass on the 10W40. I'd rather not get greasy hands all over everything. LOL

Yeah, I may get me a small bottle of that for the boat.

J-Doc they swear by it in the NW. My old Missouri roots would not let me use it, but I saw people catch fish using. It apparently doesn't turn the salmonoids off.

I saw a guy on Youtube put WD40 to the test. Some were using it as a fish attractant alone. He was fishing for catfish and would use WD40 at the attractant. It didn’t work for him.

The guy even contacted WD40 to see if there was “fish oil” within the formula as that might help explain it. The rep for WD40 had never heard of anyone using their product as a fish attractant and found it quite comical. So much that he thought it was a prank call. lol

There may be something to it as a cover scent. Seems odd.

Where's Wettinline at? He smoked me 5 to 1 one night about 3 or 4 years ago while we were catfishing. The only thing he was doing different was spraying WD-40 on his cut shad.

Yep in the PNW people used WD 40 quite a bit on salmon baits. Not as popular nowadays with all the scents out there on the market, but back in the day people swore by it.

Really odd considering it's a petroleum based product and does not contain any fish oils.

I can see someone I know now......spraying WD40 like there's no tomorrow and then bragging about how many stripers they caught!! LOL
