abkeenan Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Alex, I'm sure those would be fine. Natural Craw looking colors. There are a TON of guys selling custom painted warts on Ebay. Those look a lot like what most of the guys there are painting.
dtrs5kprs Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Actually had the V63 looking one on my watch list. Pretty nice color. Might shoot the seller a Q as to what it is clear coated with.
wdberkley Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Man...I've got a dozen or so Pre-Rapala Warts, and I thought I had something. Some of you fellas are sitting on a small fortune! Thanks for sharing!
Members ericangler Posted February 5, 2014 Members Posted February 5, 2014 here's what sucks about the new wigglewarts there are days when it will flat outfish the pre rapala ones in a v63 vs v63 head to head had this happen a couple times mainly in water 46 degree and colder on cloudy days, then days when the brads wiggler will work better makes wart fishing a little more complicated 3 choices instead of 1
balsabee Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 An option for those that like to paint. I haven't tried any yet but would be interested in knowing how they run. http://www.shop.blankbaits.com/LOUD-Mid-Crank-325-Series.htm
abkeenan Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 An option for those that like to paint. I haven't tried any yet but would be interested in knowing how they run. http://www.shop.blankbaits.com/LOUD-Mid-Crank-325-Series.htm Saw those awhile back and in the description it used to state "for painting practice only they do not swim correctly" or something along those lines. After you get those for 2 bucks and then have them custom painted you and throw hooks and split rings you are looking at minimum around 10 bucks a bait (unless you paint them yourself). IMO for that kind of price just buy the real deal.
troutgnat Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I have two SP-90's, no original box. One I fish on occasion, only out of necessity! The other sits in silence, untouched. If you have the balls and cash I'll sell them for $500 each.......LOL Darren Sadler "Fishing is an Education...Often the fish 'school' me, yet I do not complain. I just keep going to class!"
Quillback Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I think most of you know this, but when BPS has their Spring sale they have bins full of Wiggle Warts for $3 and change each. Of course they are the "new" models, but they'll still catch bass and If you're looking to do some painting it's a good deal.
Guest Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Bomber Flat A deep will clean that wart up when it is super cold, Table Rock or LOZ. Like 38-40 degrees cold. That's my go-to cold water bait when I'm not fishing a wiggle wart. They're cheap, run good, and flat out catch bass.
troutgnat Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 To add a little more fuel to the fire.....lol. Well, it helps that I was Rep for Rapala when the change over took place. I saw the end of days and ordered up on my sample account . Now, if I was only smarter and didn't give so many away to those who begged me. Well, I did my good deed and I still have enough to finish out my days. The first box is my fishing box, second box is my spares and extras for me to repaint.
