Quillback Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Funny you should mention rods - Around 8:00am I snagged on something, kept the line tight, and pulled up 4 rods / reels that were tangled together. Dang, practically a limit!
jolicious Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Dang, practically a limit! On one cast WITHOUT am Alabama Rig!!
J-Doc Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I saw the picture Yeah, I had to forward the photo to him. He was there when I trolled up a 6ft Abu spinning rod combo just past the big rock at Rocky Branch southwest ramp. I figured he could appreciate this one! LOL Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Quillback Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 You guys must be holding your mouths right, I've landed a couple of rods, but both have been broken.
Members Greg W Posted February 5, 2014 Members Posted February 5, 2014 That beats me. The best I have done is a couple of lures. What really surprises me it was not lures that I lost.
Sore Thumbs Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Yeah it was brutal Sunday. I left at 1 cuz I wasn't doing any good either. Slid my way out of Prairie Creek just to find out that the road was closed. Stayed at Tony C's and had a beer and a cheeseburger. After an hour road was cleared and I headed home. Crazy day.
Members Bass Ivy Posted February 12, 2014 Members Posted February 12, 2014 one night i was fishing under 12 bridge on the east end by the end pier. Snagged onto to something cranked it in it was an old metal tackle box. Looks like fun out there fishing with snow on the deck. At least you didnt have jet skis ripping around, and big boats full of drunks playing loud music and whoopin and hollering.
