Members CVue Posted February 13, 2014 Members Posted February 13, 2014 Have anyone caught a striper fishing from a inflatable boat? If so, are you able to pull in at a 20lb striper without it swamping the boat or pulling u for a mile before you can net it in?
Feathers and Fins Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I have caught them from Canoe's, Kayak's, Rafts and Float Tubes. If you are a safe Boatman then there is no issue with pulling one in. If you are worried about pulling distance drop an anchor. I would be more concerned about Tubers, Skiers and other boats hitting me in an inflatable than a fish pulling me especially on Beaver Lake. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
fishinwrench Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 They fish Tarpon from Kayaks....so a striper should be a piece of cake
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Well first off an inflatable is virtually impossible to swamp. I wouldn't worry about the inflatable, but the drunk pulling a skier. I don't know Beaver stripers, but I would have a skier flag above me if I ventured out. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
