Started out with low expectations today, and they were met. Fished 6 hours for 3 bass, 2 LM's and a spot. All came on tubes, fished 20-25 feet deep on secondary points. No bites on the chunk rock banks.

I did make contact with something on a jerkbait. Don't know what it was, had it on for a second and came away with a scale the size of a fingernail on one of the trebs.

Water temps were 37 - 39.

Still a little ice in back of some of the coves. Big M launch is ice free.

I zoomed up on a couple of guys pulled in tight to a bluff, didn't see them until I was about 50 yards away. If you read this, you have my apology. It was unintentional.

Don't feel like the lone ranger. Fished for a couple of hours yesterday, and about the same amount of time today in the Kimberling City area. No fish. It was good to get out of the house.

Quill. Would expect that scale to be from a carp. Have had it happen to me also. Third one in the same spot made it to the boat after ten minutes and a disappointed angler.

I'm thinking carp also, I've snagged one or two in the past on a JB. I've caught a couple that have had the JB in their mouths, very disappointing when you think you've got the 9 lb. bass on and it turns out to be Ol' Buglemouth.
