If you are interested in ice fishing on Stockton you need to get it done sometime before tomorrow. I went to twin bridges this morning and ice as far as I could see, this afternoon, open water to the beach and to the son creek bridge and it looked open up around ruark bluff. the ice isn't very thick. walked out on the dock and put my foot on the ice and it gave way pretty fast. Don't worry, foot stayed dry. I am going to give it a try in the morning. Feel free to shoot me a text or a call and i will let ya know if it was a success. I am assumig that hawker point is probably the safest place to put in a boat if you are coming up, but i haven't been over to confirm that.

If you get down to the ramps with ice, please don't throw the big rocks onto the ice where we have to back out trailers. there are huge rocks on the ramp at ruark and i assume all the other ramps also. Be really careful backing in and pulling out on the ramps. some of the rocks that people have thrown in are pretty big.

See ya'll thursday evenig at the library.

We will also be on the water tomorrow, going to try and go out of State Park, then try Old State Park if it's icy. I'm going to try a jerkbait or an a-rig on top of the ice and then drag it back off the ice and let it drop slowly. Good Luck out there Bob!

A couple of years back, I hit one of those rocks that someone had thrown on the north ramp at Mutton Creek. The prop did not do well in the encounter.

Talked to my friend in Greenfield yesterday. he said you can get a boat in at CC/Greenfield landing. He thought ruark should be open today.

Supposed to have a club tourney out of old state park on Saturday. Haven't been up that way in weeks. Do you all think the ice will gone by then? Guessing the back ends of some of the creeks and coves will still be iced over.

Ivan put I'm at mutton creek on north side Ruark greenfield. Had a few crappie but got ice broke up pretty good at mutton creek. Others did the same at Ruark. Crappie are hitting under the shad

Im guessing it will be at least a few weeks before walleye start their thing? Given how this winter has gone do you think everything will be pushed back a week or more? Was hoping to get down in march sometime but im kinda scared there will be ice everywhere!

Mike and I were talking last night and we wouldnt be surprised if the eye arent headed up the creeks and to the darn here pretty quick. It should be on strong by full moon of march.
