Just last week there LOZ was locked in with 8" of ice. We had a cool weather with cold nights after that The days were hot very sunny either. there were almost no cracks showing. In general every indication that there was not much progress in the ice situation. It was that way last night when i went to bed. I was hoping to see rain coming down when I got up. All I seen when looking out the window in the morning on my deck was what looked Ike we had a small shower. The temperature was about 50 and there was only a light breeze. It was pretty depressing . A couple hours later the warm wind got strong. Then almost like magic great pieces of ices began disintegrate without cracking. The wind was so strong it was picking up ice chunks about the size of a Cue ball and hurling so many of them through the air and across the ice. At times looked like a hail storm. That has been going on all day. It is now 3:15 and from my house on a major point I can see no ice on the Gravois Arm anymore. I suppose all that ice out there was already shattered. Was a great relief to a lot of is around here. Most of use were expecting to see severe dock damage all over the lake.

That's crazy! Must have been the wind and Sun that did the trick. Glad you guys can get back in the water now. Maybe fishinwrench will stop taking motors apart and reassembling them just to keep from going insane and get on the water for a while. Lol!!
