Members slidergrub Posted March 6, 2014 Members Posted March 6, 2014 Has anyone started to see walleye moving up into the river yet? I am really really tempted to go out tomorrow morning and just wondering what people were seeing so far... I can't wait to smell the white bass You been back out?
Clay Goforth Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 I haven't been back out. This weekend was tournament weekend on the White below Bull Shoals. Hopefully this warm weekend and first few days of the week will really kick start them. This coming weekend could be good. kjackson Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I fished out of Holiday Island on Friday; saw one walleye caught, had two bites and left the area to explore elsewhere. I didn't mark much in the way of fish. I may head out Tuesday, if so, I'll post my lack of results then.
Feathers and Fins Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Dead day today except for one big paddlefish my brother snagged while we were trying to catch whites on a spoon. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members marknsaw Posted March 10, 2014 Members Posted March 10, 2014 Didn't fish the river, but I did fish the back of Monte Ne creek and Joe's creek today. Threw just about everything I had at them, but no takers in either arm. Another guy was ballooning minnows or shad and he did manage to get a couple whites in the back of Monte Ne. Luckily my consolation prize was 4 nice whites on Horseshoe bend this afternoon though. I'll try again somewhere else tomorrow.
Feathers and Fins Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Mark what are you in? I was in Monte ne for a bit this afternoon. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
wc1063 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Struck out at PC today as well, was there from 3ish to 6PM. I guess there was a tournament going on when I got to the ramp, they were wrapping things up as I unload the boat. Went to the very back of PC at the cave and netted some gizzard shad around 10 to 16 in, did not see any threadfins for some reason. Troll the shad for about two hours, not one bite, and I did not mark too many fish(all small) at PC either, the best mark I saw was right in front of the ramp at 56 fow.
npierceuark Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Man sounds like Sunday didn't treat anyone too well, I don't feel so bad saying I got skunked as well. I did manage a a few on Saturday before the cold air pushed in around noon but it was nothing to write home about. I may be out Tuesday evening to see if the warm sun warms those cold fish hearts into playing a little a bit more. Tough weekend boys

I didn't get to get over there, but I heard that it was pretty tough?
Members marknsaw Posted March 10, 2014 Members Posted March 10, 2014 I have an old blue sided Sylvan Sport Troller FnF. We ( my girlfriend and I ) were in Monte Ne from about 11:30 to about 1:30'ish trolling a couple cranks and she was bouncing a worm while I was dragging a 3-way grub.
