stuartsx5 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Is Larry Gale good with the low water? I haven't ever been up there when the water has been low like this and it seems like even in normal water the end of that ramp isn't very deep. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
WHARFRAT Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 yeah, its fine. I put in my new boat this weekend and took out the old one. I did hear the lake has been on the rise, about a half a foot since Saturday. I could tell it was up just a bit compared to last weekend. I hear it might be another chilly weekend. Hopefully not much wind. I can stand chilly weather as long as the wind isn't too high. @lozcrappie
Bushbeater Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Rippling Waters Resort has a pay ramp about a mile up from the bridge, it can be used in low water conditions, I would think you would need to call ahead because of the limited parking.
stuartsx5 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Thanks for the info. I may try to get up there in the next few days. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
Bushbeater Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I've had the same experience with the Walleye size, although my son found a hole last summer where he claims he was catching consistant numbers of 15 to 18" Eyes. These were all released as we thought the required size was 18", I think it is actually 15"? I can't make it back down till 3-28, I'll be ready for fishing and hopefully the conditions will have settled into spring. Good luck to the fortunate ones able to fish whenever they want.
