Members hillbillyfisher Posted March 18, 2014 Members Posted March 18, 2014 Is there anywhere to bank fish on flat creek or James?
Bill Babler Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Tons of locations. I'll let the James River, River Rats fill you in. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
duckydoty Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Blunks Hole right off of Blunk Road just outside of Galena is a great place to catch whites on the James. It's gonna get real busy there soon. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Sac River Jim Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 taylor hole is just below the first bend going up from rolly blunks. its not too bad a hike up there and can be well worth it this time of year.

If you go here there is an old two track, to the left, that goes upriver quite a ways. I wouldn't drive it necessarily, but walk it. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members joey holder Posted March 19, 2014 Members Posted March 19, 2014 walnut springs or old ashers cane bottom just above boat ramp
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 If you look up the recent post about a boat hitting a pillar on Flat Creek you'll see that the old hiway 173 still extends into the lake. There's a road, if you can call it that, that comes down off the hill to reach it. The last time I was there however I bailed on driving down it because it had washed real bad. Maybe someone can update you on it. If you can get down to it there's a fair amount of bank space off it and the around the slough to the west. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members hillbillyfisher Posted March 19, 2014 Author Members Posted March 19, 2014 thank you for all the replies. i have always fished the sac for whites but I've heard there is good fishing down around there. I'm going to go down Saturday and check is it out.
Fishslayer88 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 You may get into them at Blunks but you would be best off walking down stream to where the power line crosses the river.
