Feathers and Fins Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Thank you for the information. Sorry if it was a newborn question, just trying to get my ducks in a row. Ducks you say.... Ducks I can help you with that lol. No such thing as a Newbie question to me and there is a lot of good guys here who will help answer them. Just don't ask bout the Thong on the bow of a boat, its still a soar subject with one member lol. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
hoglaw Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Plenty of wading water. There are two primary shoals below the 45 bridge separated by long holes with cut banks that are un fishable. There is a network of trails through the woods. Just start walking downstream and find the gravel. Hike through the woods to avoid the cut banks. I've also heard good reports in Richland creek.
Members bcrigler Posted April 4, 2014 Members Posted April 4, 2014 Thanks for all of the replies. Is there parking at the Richland Creek bridge as well?
wc1063 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 No, there is not. You have to park the car on either side of the road.
marcusearlt Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Just got back from Twin Bridges. I wanted to get an eye on it so I could decide on a trip tomorrow or not. The level is higher and dirtier than last weekend. I already knew it was high from past experience and USGS gauges but I really wanted it to be clear(ish), no such luck, 6 inches of visibility max. No fishing, hiking it is. "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong." John Gierach
cpriest Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Any updates on water clarity? Cfs is still kinda high, but fishable. May try to run out after work.
Members crkoester Posted April 9, 2014 Members Posted April 9, 2014 Fished Richland and upper War Eagle today, both are still pretty swift and dirty.... more importantly, didn't have a bite either place and didn't see anyone else catch a fish either. Don't waste your time.
Members Middleton369 Posted April 10, 2014 Members Posted April 10, 2014 Fished the twin bridges area this morning from 9-1230 and caught 15 good size white bass, 2 in the 3 lb range. Noticeable water clarity improvement just during the time I was there.
JohnF52 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I fished off the bank about halfway between Wyman bridge and Twin today. Caught a bunch of males and two decent sized female white bass. The river visibility is about 15 inches there. Lures were white Beetle Spins, eighth and sixteenth ounce both worked.
