I think I want a Power pole or a Talon but I was wondering how much guys use them on Table Rock and Grand Lake which is where I do most of my fishing

I fish table rock for the deep water. And seeing how power poles and talons are shallow water anchors; they're useless for me on the rock.

I suppose if a guy hugs the shallows, there may be some use to them on the rock. But that would kinda defeat the purpose of fishing table rock........in my opinion.

I've only seen a handful of them ever on boats down there. Never seen one of them ever being used. But I mostly fish the mid-lake myself.

I would think an anchor is a much better alternative. Minn Kota makes a great electric anchor for considerably less expense.

Unless you are a crappie guy that fishes the river systems of Table Rock, the poles are pretty much useless here. Really do not know how much application they would have for that either. Man you sure could upgrade your fishing equipment with that kind of Jack. I think I would rather have the fishing outfits.

Good Luck

I told me buddy the other day that we needed to make one that'll extend to 30' and call it the "Ozark Lockdown" :)

Hee-hee.

There are some other options, that are not / or less permanent. Would give you the flexibility to use them in the spring for sight fishing or other shallow work. Have been toying with the idea for a bit.

Of these, I tend to like the idea of the first or second products the best.

I was afraid that I wouldn't use them very often that is why I haven't bought them yet but I am always catching myself wishing I had one at times when I am on the water
