I would welcome any comments or thoughts on cut tail worms.

I had a gentleman request some. He tells me that Kinami used to make them but won't be producing any more. He reported having good luck with them.

I could probably make them but would only consider doing so if the bait works well here on TR, and is not available from a commercial source.

Thank you, Mike

The Kut Tail was a GYCB thing first and Kinami second. I think Bass Pro ad Strike King are offering knock offs of it now as well.

You'll probably make a wonderful version of it, but it's the GYCB plastic that sets it apart from others.

I've caught 100's of fish on Kut Tails and they are my prefered finesse worm, but to each his own.

Gary Yamamoto is a brilliant plastic bait maker without a doubt. I have admit that I am tempted to give it a try

I bought several hundred Yamamoto 4 " curltails, on closeout, a few years ago that I make cut tails out of for drop-shot and shakey-heads.

I always wondered why more people did not do this vs. buying that worm. Always been curious if it started as an angler mod or as a bad run of baits.

The Kut Tails are a little more beefy in the body than the Curl Tail worms. It likely started out as a mod, but then they redesigned molds for it.

I bought a bunch of the 4 inch curly tails, but they are much smaller thru the body than the 4 inch Kut Tail. I've been taking the tail of and using them as a finesse Wacky worm
