jolicious Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Fellas, sometimes the internet literally makes me giggle. I was looking at a couple different weather sites (plus the app on my phone) this morning trying to decide if I should leave the house at 4:30 (Springdale, AR - 90 min or so) to head towards the Rock, or leave later in the day - depending on the weather of course. Anyway, I got there different ideas from three different sources so I thought I'd ask anyone on here that might be in the area
GNSfishing Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I am over at Cape Fair (not too far from State Park as the crow flies) and it is cloudy, humidity is high, wind around 6 mph, feels like it could rain at anytime......
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Cloudy at Rockaway Beach. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jpb2187 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I find the weather.gov website to be the most reliable.
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 being about 10 miles as the crow flies and able to see Branson from my back porch, I'll raise you 2. I do agree .gov is a good one. Wunderground has many small stations and can often be a good source for current conditions, you just have watch the time. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Sac River Jim Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Speaking of weather sites i hate the new format that KY-3-2 in Springfield is using. I cant figure out nothing on it especially the live radar it doesn't pan out far enough to do me any good living down here in Lawrence County.
mixermarkb Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Those of you with smartphones, buy the app called "radar scope". Put together by University of Oklahoma storm chasers, it has all sorts of Doppler radar data in like 5 minute updates. You can see precip, wind, storm tracks, warning boxes as fast as they go up, etc etc. Absolutley the best $10 you can spend. I've used it to run around storm cells while fishing, used it to postpone or cancel outdoor concerts on my job as an audio engineer. I can't say enough about how good it is. Mark Burris
