Terrierman Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 14 foot jon, 6 HP Johnson and trailer. The boat is set up for a duck blind and I will give it away too. Boat has had a rough life and has several leaking rivets and a place about 3/4 inch long on one of the strakes that is torn. JB weld would fix everything or a mig welder would even be better. Boat has a plywood floor in it that's pop riveted to the braces. The duck blind is sweet, conduit frame and camo netting with rippy hay tied to it. Best part about the blind is the stabilizers that work like manual power poles on all four corners of the boat. I've killed a lot of ducks out of this boat, it's nickname is the Grand Pass Special, aka GPS. It's been on the local flows a time or two as well and there might be a little bit of smallmouth slime in a few places. The motor was tuned up in 2013 at Tangora in Nixa. Trailer is fine for the purpose, good LED lights, bearing buddies and there is nothing wrong with it at all. I bought a Shawnee this winter and won't ever use this rig again. Rather than sell it, I'd rather give it to somebody who will actually use and appreciate it. A young family guy who otherwise wouldn't have a boat or somebody like that. I'm not drunk or stupid or trying to scam anybody. You can PM me here with interest. P.S. I have titles for everything.
zarraspook Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Nice jester !!!! Looks a lot like my first boat 50+ years ago.. I caught more fish from it than I ever have from all of my glass boats... "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"

Terrierman Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Rick.....is that you???? That isn't the boat I hunted out of at grandpass all those years ago is it? Yes sir, it is I. And that IS the same boat. Tell them how good it is. You know, how you can carry two or three dozen decoys and how we were always safety conscious and would never overload a boat or anything like that. Remember that day when Bailey walked about a mile across the marsh to offer a friendly hello to our hunting neighbors?
Members yeehaw Posted April 3, 2014 Members Posted April 3, 2014 Holy heck man, I never knew what became of you. I freaking love that boat, until I had to push it over a dry levee in pool 6. Sliced opened a perfectly good pair of waders on the prop in the process. Lots of blood has been shed on that bad boy. Someone is getting an awesome deal. And there may even be an old bottle of blackberry brandy rolling under the bench
Members yeehaw Posted April 3, 2014 Members Posted April 3, 2014 I was gonna leave out "the conversation " that day. "Dang Bailey, you just gonna sit here and let them talk to you like that? " classic times
vonreed Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I'd love to have that motor for a little gigging boat, but don't wanna split up the good deal you got. A good idea to me would be to go to a local place like Blunks in galena where lots of people fish off the bank and watch for a family or person struggling from the bank with kids and give it to them. Awesome gesture on giving it away.
duckydoty Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I can't believe it has not gone yet. That is a really cool thing your doing. Hope it finds a good home soon! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
