Guest Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Good job! I was debating on whether to try the little rig for crappie last night. You answered my question about that.
Members Get_Tha_Net Posted April 7, 2014 Author Members Posted April 7, 2014 That crappie hammered it to. He was on a laydown right on the bank. I actually saw him take off with it when he took it.

There are some really serious crappie guys around Topeka that fish it as their primary bait. Really works them over when they are deep. I will hit two or three every spring at TR that are 13"+, just accidentally. Very good on goggleye as well. Walleye like it too, I've caught 2 wallies on the Ned on Table Rock this spring and I haven't fished it that much, the Ned rig that is.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 This is a story by Ned on Dave Schmidltein of Topeka, KS, who uses the little rig on crappie, and catfish. http://www.in-fisherman.com/2011/12/10/cold-water-crappie-times-in-kansas-2/
