Feathers and Fins Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Lucky; where were you playing in the salt at? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Luckyj Posted April 24, 2014 Members Posted April 24, 2014 Well Iwas born and raised in Florida, but have lived all over the country, CA, MN,WI,KY, TN, moved here for 6 years then moved to Flroida for another 10 years, then Louisiana for 3 years then Savannah GA for 3 years and now retired back here LOL Been around you might say. I fished most of the Florida east coast out of Daytona south to Port Canaveral, in LA lived in Lafayette fished all the inshore on the gulf, and all the inshore in east GA. My brother in FLorida has a 25' boat we did offshore fishign in then we woudl use my flats baot for inshore. I have a Carolina Skiff Center console. Its a 16' with a 50 evinrude on it. Not meant for big and rough water but it will NOT sink!!!!!! And YES I have personally tested LOL I have pretty much fished for all species at one time or another. Its just I am not familiar with Beaver Lake when it comes to catching Crappy whites and stripers. Bass fishign is easy on Beaver so looking for more challanges I guess as I get older LOL
Members Luckyj Posted April 24, 2014 Members Posted April 24, 2014 Sorry about the typos, my typing sucks!!!!!!!!!!
Members Luckyj Posted April 24, 2014 Members Posted April 24, 2014 I apologize to Bferg for hijacking his thread.
Feathers and Fins Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Aint the first time someone has hilljacked a thread on here and by far not the worse one lol. I know many of the waters you are talking about. When your fishing for Stripers in Beaver go after them like you would Hour Jacks off Daytona. in spring they act and school like the jacks just not as much abuse to your arm. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Luckyj Posted April 24, 2014 Members Posted April 24, 2014 Cool thanks for that info that helps adjsut my nimble brain a little more LOL Yeh those jacks can wreck havoc on your body!!!!
Members Luckyj Posted April 25, 2014 Members Posted April 25, 2014 Well went up the white and war eagle today only caught 4 small crappie and 1 small bass. Only used artificials no live bait today. Was a productive day of learning though. Water temps in both arms was 64.5.
JohnF52 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Launched at Beav-o-rama ramp today. Fished down to Blue Springs. Three small crappie caught, one small bass, and one much larger fish that got away, but did not see what it was. Talked to several people. They were catching some smaller crappie, but few keepers. Looked like about one to six ratio of keepers to non keepers as far as I can deduce.
