Dave I believe your right. Again look at the size of the K's I am catching. Lots and lots of 2.75 to 3.50. Up to 18 inches and really that right now is the norm at 15 to 17 inches. We did not catch a K under 12 inches in 3 days and way, way over 125 fish. That is kind of scary. Leads me to believe in 2008 and 2011 due to high water there was no or very little spawn for the k's. Just to much water over their nests and they did not do it.

Enjoy it now, as we never know what is coming.

You need to come back home. Apparently the 13-14" K's can't swim up the river that far.

We are catching lots of good K's around Kim City, plus more K's than I usually catch. Brown fish are moving rapidly. In one creek went from steep stuff to gravel overnight.

I do worry about the 2011 spawn overall. That rise was too rapid. Think was spread over more weeks.

On the competing for food note...have found that if a perch pecks your plastic, dropping it and shaking it will frequently result in a bass picking it up. Same for a missed fish. We are seeing followers on hooked fish. They are definitely fighing for food.

Good for us. For the fish...
