Monday 4.28.14 Long Creek

Started out at 7 and fished till 11. Caught a good number of short fish and 4 keepers. Nothing really worth stopping to take a picture.

Most came on the "Rig That Shall Not be Named", a few on a Scrounge, and a couple on a Shakey Head.

A lot of fun but windy.

Hey, I was throwing a worm on a leadhead hook back in the early 80s ... A LONG DANG TIME before anyone ever came up with SHAKY HEAD. You guys have some nerve coining a newfangled name like that and I for one refuse to participate in such tomfoolery. In my boat, it shall forever be known as a peahead. So there.

Heck Champ, I'm so old we used cane poles with grasshoppers on safety pins. All this new fangled stuff is unnecessary.

Wind was a beast today. Felt bad for some of the Nebraska guys I saw out in 16'-18' boats. Coming around point 7 was bouncy.

This Nebraska guy runs a 21' fish/ski semi-deep v... and I still kept it parked at the dock this afternoon. If I wanted 40mph wind gusts and whitecaps I would've just stayed home and gone out any other weekend.

It was a bad day for the short boats for sure. Those federation guys have some short rides mixed in, we did the same when I fished with Iowa. OK up home, tough on big lakes.

yea one time my great grandma rigged my cousin and i up with feed sack string safety pins and bacon rind. the suckers on goose creek liked that bacon rind.
