It's On!

Got in a bit of fishing down at the family cabin on 7mm Friday and spent all of Saturday cleaning the tritoon for another summer of debauchery. Got down Thursday night, to my surprise the water was STILL gin clear and caught a bunch of dink largemouths and a bass sized slab walking the dog just under the surface with the Ned. First time I've fished it that way and it can walk it under the surface surprisingly well.

Friday was awesome. Spotted a bedding male and female in the morning, caught the male pretty easily on a shaky worm but the female just wasn't interested. Proceeded to throw a wacky stiko, pit boss, and even a live minnow in front of her face and she wouldn't bite. Oh well. Got into some spots pretty well on the shaky and made for a fun afternoon.

Came back in the early evening and wham! She figured she was ready to eat the shaky worm.

Rounded off Friday night catching 10+ slabs from the dock, nothing under 12". Heaven.

Awesome! How big was that female? Nice Kentucky as well!

Thanks man! She was just under 5 lbs and released safely back to her bed, very rewarding. It seems like it's getting harder and harder to catch quality bass like that at LOZ, at least on my part of the lake.

I have seen that bamk line in that cove but cannot place where it was. I rarely leave the gravois anymore. Have been a PAW PAW for last 4 days. nd ave only been out on the water one time. And that was to take get for a boat ride. We are catching some real nice crappie in the evening and again in the morning at pink up time. The gin clear water will about foul things up for most boat fishermen right now during the day. It makes crappie and bass both spooky.
