eyeman Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 catch what you want , eat what you want to as long as it is legal . fisheries dept. made the laws . i think its great ,it gets them out of the lake so they don't eat up all the walleye food.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 It is a never-ending arguement! crappie and walleye guys say get rid of all of them, bass fisherman say don't take them out. you are gonna do what your gonna do regardless of what anybody on here wants you to do.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 12, 2014 Root Admin Posted May 12, 2014 There are many types of people in the world. There are many types of fishermen in the angling world. As long as it's legal, it's legal to keep a limit of fish. As long as it's legal to express your opinion, it's ok to express your opinion. Thanks for not taking offense to the criticism. That's shows maturity on your part. And I have no problem with criticism either- it's all part of the conversation. Would prefer it to be respectful- and I think it has been that. I will say this- and I thought of it when walleye and crappie was mentioned. Everybody here would love to catch a mess of either and have a fish fry. But not everyone can do that, including me, when we want to. Catching good eating fish like crappie and walleye is a chore, at least for me.

Dirtracer35 Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 I catch all 3 on bass tackle. Every year. I keep all 3. The lake won't go dry. The conservation re stocks the lake all the time. Just like brush piles. It's no big deal. Everybody has criticism on some topic in life. I'm 24, I was raised on Stockton lake. I know what the lake hold under the water. I've caught the "big ones" of all species that live there. There will always be more. Always.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 that still doesn't mean you should take the big ones you catch out
Members crappie jerk Posted May 12, 2014 Members Posted May 12, 2014 if it's legal then it isn't anybodys darn business what you do. some people think just because they do something , you should do it too. good stringer for a good fish fry !!!
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 i'm just saying it would have been better if it was crappie or walleye. Let's hold it together fellas.
