Feathers and Fins Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Snook are good eating though, and easier to keep hooked! Justin, J-doc's problem is he catches them itty bitty East Coast snook. And easier to keep hooked LMAO you being mean and not telling people about their line cutter. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
J-Doc Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I wouldn't call 3ft + snook itty-bitty..... And I love a snook. I hear they are very tasty. They are really smart fish too. Can be hard to catch in the salt flats of Florida. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Feathers and Fins Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Mermaids. Shhhhh don't say that or Discovery Channel will make a show on them. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Better make sure you have a heavy leader for sure, the first itty bitty one I caught in the Jupiter inlet put a nice burn on my thumb!! Members Luckyj Posted May 17, 2014 Members Posted May 17, 2014 Jupiter is one of the BEST places for Snook fishing! And they taste AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 So who would put the coats on the tarpon every fall? I think they put Northern's in Stockton also and it didn't work. I haven't fished Beaver since the 60's, but if I remember right it has some musky friendly water. Given the fact they are reportedly big perch eaters they should bother the food sources to much. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
bfishn Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Shhhhh don't say that or Discovery Channel will make a show on them. Great Whites then. Really big ones. Give the guys that hate the stripers something new to worry about. Dunduh DunDuh DUNDAH!... That there wicked tuna looks like fun too. I can't dance like I used to.
