fished outta mill creek for a bit this morning. caught a few on wobble head then saw what I thought were whites swirlin the water so threw a white rooster tail at them and hooked up about a 3 lb trout!! had heard they were in t.r. but first I ever caught.

old boy really hammered it and came outta right field so to speak{ wasn't in the swirl}is this common or un-common? b.t.w. beautiful healthy fish is still swimmin.

You here of one every once in awhile in the winter or spring. Pretty rare though, nice catch.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

That is a big trout. Oddly enough I saw some swirling top water action last weekend fishing off San Souci point in the White River and it turned out to be a good sized trout. It wasn't 3 pounds and I did not land it. It chased my swimbait and bit the tail off but we got a real good look at it.

one now and then gets caught around the mouth of roaring river. im surprised you caught one that far down
