Feathers and Fins Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 My guess is it is an under utilized fishery, or a well kept secret fishery. Tablerocks big draw is the Bass but I would guess there is a small number of anglers who figured out the trout pattern on it and have just not said anything as they would be Bigger class fish and require a great deal of leg work to figure out the pattern. I would not be shocked to learn of people catching 4 to 8lb fish that have it figured out and certainly would not be surprised to hear of bigger ones. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Alex Heitman Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 This is why I have a huddleston trout 8 inch swimbait and have even caught many bass on it
Dylan Cluver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Can you really target trout in TR, it just always seems to be dumb luck when people get them. A few years ago 10 or more, my grandad and uncle got into them well at the dam catching 5-10, I can't recall the exact number. Those fish would have done some serious swimming if the closest way in was dogwood canyon. No one gripes about obese fish.
Dylan Cluver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I do suppose we could say a guy could fish eagle rock area targeting trout No one gripes about obese fish.
Buzz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 So is a trout stamp required if they are caught in the lake?? Thanks You can catch all you want, but if you want to keep them you must have a trout stamp. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
