Here is the patent information on it. Looks like the judge himself was the creator.

My Aunt Norma while in high school in the mid 50's worked as a house keeper for the Senekers and the judge liked to fish with my grandpa and the old police chief at the time but she dont remember a bait shop but she remembers them having a fruit market off the north side of the square and she thinks maybe he sold the lures in the fruit market. She said the market didnt go over very well because people back in those days thought that bananas caused polio. thnx moguy for the patient info it verified what i was thinking that lure was probably made in the mid to late 50's not 60;s. Leon Seneker was one of 4 boys that Eldrid had and was either the oldest or second oldest because the two youngest were twins. im sure within the next couple of days i'll know alot more about the shop because my Aunt is quite the historian and shes got her couriousity up too. Matter of fact I'll probly be finding out more than a really wanted to know bless her heart!!!!! the one thing i'd like to find out was is the lure hand crafted or did he have them manufactured how many was made and if they were distributed to retailers. Bobber I'm thinking you might really be sitting on quite the find. Next step is to get hold of the Lawrence County Historical Society whos the curator of the Lawrence County Museum. I;m very interested in this because there is ties to my grandpa who taught me how to fish.

i'll tell melvin {retired fire chief) i'll see him at our crappie club mtg next monday he might be interested i cant remember if i told him you had some for sale or not. him and the judge used to fish and shoot alot of pool together. Also I kinda thought that bait reminded me of a Poes super cedar that was made about the some time period. heres a pic of a vintage poes this is a newer on tho but i do see a resemblence what do you think?
