Moswimb8slinger Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Caught it about 730 and they shut the generator off around 8. So i got lucky, going there while it was still running water.
rangerman Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Man I keep coming back to this thread!!! That fish is freaking awesome. It is an absolute brute. Congrats again.
Ron Burgundy Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I got a Storm 10" gizzard shad swim bait at Cabela's last week then last Friday I fished Beaver lake and after 5 hrs of trolling the big bait it got bit and it was a big fish probably a Striper but it came unhooked half to the boat. Moswimb8slinger Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Ron, change the hooks out, the hooks on those baits are crap, get some 1/0 owners, mustads, gamakatsu, whatever you may prefer and be sure to get the 2x strong so they don't bend them out when hooked up
Ron Burgundy Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I will Rich, thanks! Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Moswimb8slinger Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 I knew my hand scale was 0.15lbs under at 4.5lbs and i added that to the 48.85 that read on scale for the striper to get 49.00. Dad and I just checked my scale with 49.3lbs of free weights, and the scale read 47.00. So my 48.85 striper, with a 1.3 lbs correction, puts it at 50.10, got love technology...
