Members tse90 Posted June 17, 2014 Members Posted June 17, 2014 Do any of you guys have any input on a good taxidermist in the Table Rock or Springfield area? I'm looking to get a reproduction done. Thanks for any input.
Moswimb8slinger Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Tracy Frenzel of Frenzel Guide Service, he's working on my brother's 14lbs 8oz and soon my 50lbs striper replica. He also repainted Lilley landings 42lbs brown trout. 417 699 2277
Champ188 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Replicas are hands-down the way to go. I just hope that 50-pound striper isn't still swimming somewhere. Only place those things belong is the ocean, where God put 'em.

I don't blame you for being ignorant, but it's been established that there were naturally occurring riverine populations of stripers that never made the journey back to salt long before impoundment or stocking made their presence in fresh water more predominant, so I guess god wanted them in freshwater too.
Bird Watcher Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 One in every crowd. Always. Yep and there's always a bass fisherman in the other crowd that thinks the stripers are ruining his bass fishing, despite all the numerous studies that prove it simply isn't true. Dinosaurs gonna be Dinosaurs I guess.

Dinosaurs gonna be Dinosaurs I guess. I am a member of the other crowd and do mostly fish for bass. You can either believe the studies that stripers in our lakes don't have an impact on forage populations, and therefore don't effect other species of fish, but I am not buying it. They do consume massive amounts of forage which can impact other smaller game fish abilities to find and catch the same forage. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

When the researched and published facts don't suit your personal interest, go with your subjective opinion! My wife does it all the time!
Lancer09 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I think we should just go ahead and take out all of the crappie, catfish, whites, walleye, and everything else that could eat bass forage. Its all about the bass right?
