Old plug Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I do not know if it qualifies as a meter rig but around here people use a big black jitterbug instead of a spook and troll it. Can be very effective for white bass.
Quillback Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 A few years ago, one night while out fishing, someone came down the bank trolling jitterbugs, 2 out on each side of the boat. I bet you could catch some bass doing that..
Old plug Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Had lots of blacks come up around us this morning. They were busting very small shad around an inch long. I'll be more prepared for them tomorrow morning. Sounds like your ip here at LOZ. The lake is jammed ful of those little shad. Black bass turn their noses up sometimes at anything including spoons when they get on that tiny minnow feed around here.

Old plug Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Ouillback----- It sure is effective but sort of a nasty thing to land good sized fish with the way most use it with hook attached. I think it would be much safer with the hooks all off.
WettinLine Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I know you guys know nothing about a good time, this forum needs to relax and remember when fishing was fun.
Old plug Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Oh i know about a good time. I really enjoy fishing.
Sac River Jim Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Look what Rooster Tail just came out with: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Super_Rooster_Tail/descpage-SRST.html i bet it will slay the whts in the grey color
Old plug Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Its the flash of the spinner that does it. You can catch feeding white bass with nothing on it.
