Members Leitsout Posted July 11, 2014 Members Posted July 11, 2014 Just a post to get everyone's thoughts on their favorite Ozark stream or river to float, camp and fish for a 2 or 3 day weekend. Trout or bass, doesn't matter which.

Terrierman Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 My favorite is the one I'm on at the time. They all have their pluses and minuses. One of the biggest pluses is how hard the place is to get to, distance between accesses and number of outfitters around. The harder it is to get to, the further between accesses and the fewer the outfitters the better.
woodman Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 WELL that is a loaded question for us old timers....Back in the 60's... Elk River----big sugar creek...."Cyclone" etc. etc. etc... that area......Is where i was weened..... Now..Little Niangua .. Because it is NOT heavily populated with canoe traffic!!!!!! And 2 1/2 hrs. from my house! This is from a Kansascitian born in Joplin.....My 2 cents.... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
