haven't seen very many jap beetles this year, not like in years past. anybody having any problems with them?

Only seen a couple of dozen so far, not like the thousands in past years.

thats what i was thinking, just not seeing the numbers like before. maybe everybody got wise and stopped buying those stupid traps.

I stopped buying the traps too and have not noticed them either. 2 summers ago, I was running 3 traps and filling a yard sized garbage bag full of them a week.

I have not even seen one in the yard this year. And I live next to a vineyard that seems to attract them.

I have seen a few on the roses, but they aren't even touching the japanese maple, after i had a basal injection done on it

We have some hibiscus that are magnets for them and even with traps they get hit pretty hard. This year, I found one a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen one since. They generally peak here about a week or two before the first blooms, but we're a week in and no sign of them.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

i would be willing to bet , the cold winter we had dropped the number of hatch
