Feathers and Fins Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I use braid to my bottom bouncer, but I make the harnesses with 10 or 12# mono. Braid harnesses tangle easily because the line is so fine and limp. You should see the shimmy when you combine a smile blade with the slow death hook on the swivel. I can imagine I know what it does with just a simple blade. when I made the quad blade it really stood out and im sure the vibration is ungodly amazing how one little swivel added makes such a big difference. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Pepe Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 That is a nice stringer. Thanks for the detailed report. I had an opportunity to fly over the lake in a small aircraft both Thursday afternoon and this morning. While the traffic was heavier today, the same traffic pattern was obvious both days. The "draggers" were clustered up in certain areas and then there were none for a great distance. It's like they attract each other. We covered from Holiday Island to K City bridge and up past Cape Fair, same thing all over the lake, groups of 4 to 10 boats zipping around in the same areas.
Quillback Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I think it has to do with jumping wakes, get a bunch of boats together and generate a bunch of wakes for the tubes and skiers to jump over.
