Mike jones Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Night fishing must really getting strong...it took 17.5lbs to win the jackpot out of Hickory creek last night! Big bass was around 6 pounds. Don't know any details of how/where the big bag was caught.
J-Doc Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 That's a good bag for this time of year. Ditto. Someone has found a crankbait or jig pattern that worked well. J-Doc Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I'd guess offshore but I could be wrong. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Quillback Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I'd guess offshore but I could be wrong. Makes sense to me.
jolicious Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I caught a couple shaky head fish and a couple spinnerbait fish; but nothing worth bringing to scales. Shaky head fish were in 25' or so over by Monte Ne and spinnerbait fish were in 7' or so up the river.
M_Taylor Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Care to share what weight on the shaky head? I have only used it when the fish were in shallow. Thanks!
jolicious Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I would if I knew lol! I'm not trying g to be a smart Alec (Jason and / or Scott can attest) - I don't have my stuff marked! I just grab one that feels like it'll do. The one I was throwing was a football head shaky style that I got on eBay. I would guess 1/4?
Feathers and Fins Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 He isn't... He bought an HDS 12 so he could play angry birds. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
