Sorry I wasn't able to get in better detail work got real busy right as I started to post yesterday.

1. Jigging raps are very effective critters on the lake and I can now say that as I finally got past the learning curve and figured out the cadence that seems to work on beaver... It is a cast out and let sit for a count of 20 then do a quick snap let it sit for a count of 3 then two quick short snaps and let it sit for a count of 5 keep repeating process on way back to boat I am getting the pick-up on the sit ( they will pick it up and you will see the line move ) or they will slam it right as you pick it up after the pause.

2. Using 1/4 oz jig heads I put on a brooder minnow and drop it down and slowly lift and let set the set time is a count of 5 then lift about 5 feet and follow the line back down they hit it down or sitting.

3. Using a 1/4 to 1/2 oz jig head I will tie on a 4inch line to the hook bend and put a #5 octopus hook on it. Then put thread a crawler on the hook to the eye and place the other hook in the crawler and slowly jig it back in. If you hit a pod of them you can slowly swim it back in bouncing the bottom and load up fast.

4. XPS Spoons yes its a spoon but I use them as a aggressive jig as well popping it just enough off the bottom to mimic a dyeing shad, by far one of the most effective ways to catch beaver lake walleye.
