Yep, why is it that all most Fly fishing videos are about flash and less about substance?

Good video -- heavy on the artistic, light on the typical fishing video junk -- like 'Booyah!', 'What a beautiful fish!', thrusting the fish into the camera, etc. Didn't find the music distracting, though not really my cup o' tea. I noticed they did miss a bunch of the strikes/hook sets. Didn't get the laying the rod down thing either.

My favorite videos have little to no talking. I'm only there to watch the hook ups. Another annoying thing is watching a video that shows more casting than catching.

I hear ya, bro. The yakkin' about tackle never stops. Of course, we wouldn't get to see any of this stuff if it weren't for folks selling tackle.

I just laugh at it now. I've grown to appreciate the ability of marketing types to make the same old crap sound like something revolutionary and get people to part with their money.

which is typically why I prefer to watch fly fishing over hard bait fishing vidoes. Of course you get a TON of people preaching specific flyline, or Orvis, or drift boats, but that's life I guess.
