Guthrie threw one pitch last night and suffered some kind of shoulder issue. Not good, they need him.

Duffy not Guthrie, and Holland has some sort of tricept issue as well. It won't matter if they don't start scoring again.

it kinda surprises me that the royals don't have more young pitching in the pipeline, to help plug a hole if duffy is really hurt.

Now they are tied with Detroit, but they have that suspended game with Cleveland to wrap-up, and that game will probably be a loss, so they're basically 1/2 game behind. Tied with Seattle for the 2nd wild-card also. As usual when they start slumping, they are not getting any production from the middle of the lineup.

Still can't score, getting plenty of opportunities but same old story, really hope they don't make a one game playoff and lose, then the front office will say that they were successful and made the postseason, and we will get to wait 29 more years when many of us will be dead! Not feeling very optimistic with this offensive offense.

Shields and the relief staff shut out the Tigers last night. Tonight they face the Red Sox with Bucholz pitching, Bucholz has been pitching well the last 2 games, this could be a tough one.
