Not a crappie fisherman, but the cooler weather that will hit sometime in Sept usually starts the bass getting more active. The cooler water should also help crappie. Good fishing, 3-Liter

Crappie and Bass should be good, plenty of structure in the area. That might be a problem though too much structure. I would try finding a standing Tree setting out from the rest.

it should still be summer patterns.flats and tree rows.but the channels and channel bluffs produce too.some days you just have to work harder than others.

About now you will almost certainly pick up some hybrids and whites mixed together. Sometimes you will pick up a straggler on a crappie jig, other times you may see a school of whites & hybrids busting up a school of shad. I always keep a blue chrome rattle trap on a rod just for such occasions, or a white curly tail grub will work also. We usually have good luck on crappie along the creek channels and standing timber. Some days are better than others and if you find a pattern ride it hard until the weather changes.
