woodman Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 This time I want to stay at Mikes.....Green Mills..... Incidentally, I found out years ago his uncle was my wife's boss..Small world.... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
fishinwrench Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Mike isn't nearly as much fun since he quit drinking. Maybe if you're lucky he'll have fallen off the wagon. Tell him the Sims Marine crew says hi. I haven't seen the river since it rained. Hopefully it got all the snot flushed out for ya.
rumrunner Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 you know i'm in just let me know when.....i can't the 6th and 7th tho got a tx on truman
fishinwrench Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I'm gonna threaten to crash this party, when is it goin'down ? An early September Tx on Truman ? Yikes! You're either a badass, going merely for show-up points, or a glutton for punishment. About 11am the first day you'll be wishing you were drifting/dragging a paddlecraft on the LN.
woodman Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Oh man it would be nice to have all that Algie cleared out, never saw it that bad there.... When.. I don't know when exactly...but....I got-a-go.......got-ta get back on the river.........This lake fishing round KC...any lake for that matter is for the birds...or should I say sucks...... What the heck is "Tx"? Some tournament? http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
fishinwrench Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I think the TX abbreviation (to mean "Tournament") started with the first 16' Bass Tracker boat designed with dual aerated livewells and a kill switch. Somehow that abbreviation just stuck among the bass crowd and since most couldn't spell to begin with, nobody ever questioned it Anywho, I'm probably gonna visit the little ditch in the next couple days, so if ya want I'll post up a "TR" that includes an update on the snot situation.
rumrunner Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 yep tournament.sorry i forget not everybody is up on the lingo.it's also true nobody wants to spell it.... let's go with badass just for fun.... i've fished tx's on truman every month of the year but jan.don't do too many anymore but this is actually a regional.it's gonna be a grind.anymore i'd rather be on the river. anyway i've been to barclay and the park the last weekend and the rain didn't affect the snot at all.
fishinwrench Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Well, how was the bite on Pole Timber Pond ? The LN is still a slimey ditch.
rumrunner Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Well, how was the bite on Pole Timber Pond ? the tx is the 6th and 7th.i'm not even prefishing but my sources say it's typical late summer truman.wieghts have been down all year from what i hear. so how was the fishin on the ln? anybody who wants to do a day trip thurs thru mon (28th thru the 1st ) pm me before wed nite. or the bn or bennett.or even truman
fishinwrench Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The LN fishing was better than I expected. It's in sick looking shape though, lots of thick green algae in all the slow water spots. It needs a flush badly but the fish don't seem to mind one bit, they are fat and scrappy.
