Thank you.

I'll add a little to this. I am one of those guys who feels like giving info can't hurt. I'll tell you the truth, as much as I will give. There are a few I give specific details on where I find fish, but I don't give out exact spots. I'm sorry if that offends you. But I did run the dam area with a friend the other night. Might have chosen a different spot if I would have been driving, but I go with his knowledge as he has caught and put me on more stripers than I have alone.

We fished the dam area from the dam around the camp area shore. I was not looking at the graph the whole time but know that there were many fish that I saw marked. We fished mostly in 35'-40' FOW. Never caught any there, but marked a LOT of fish. We went over to dry creek and finally ended up with a baby striper. Only ran the down riggers pulling bomber long a's.

I am stoping with the striper and switching to the walleye myself now. I'll give a report Wednesday as long as the rain holds off. Wish I had more of a report than that to give, but I don't

Thanks fine for the help you give us. :). Doesn't go unappreciated.

Thanks Nathan,

I really cant do this report without the people helping. Right now there is about 15 to 20 people who send me reports each week and I have had up to 30. Bass reports are hard to come by which was no surprise but I'm hoping after the Everrett tourney I can get some of those guys reporting back in.

Stripers are actually pretty easy to get reports on people like catching big fish and sharing it, I have been playing with different formats for the report and hope to soon be able to get Photographs in it as well. FB drives me crazy sometimes with what you can and cant do and how fun it is < not > having to resize or reformat pics and sharing of video.

One thing I will NOT do in the report is give false information or misdirection information. I remember when I moved up here reading some of the reports and going to the spots listed or fishing the depth or baits listed. I cannot tell you how much I money I wasted because of that. I came up with about 200$ per trip and it makes me mad every time I read a report like that. There is no reason to say that, like the repeated report saying walleye are in 5 to 10ft of water, there might be the odd-ball but the vast majority are in 25 to 40 and ( Leeches ) for bait? There is a bunch of walleye anglers on this site will one of you tell me where your getting leeches? Better yet who wants leeches put in Beaver I sure have never seen one. I know there are 22 species in Arkansas but they are not very common and are in small pockets. If people are putting them in Beaver I would be concerned about it very concerned.

Sorry getting on a major rant, I just get so mad every time I think of how much money I wasted because I trusted the report and how much money others waste by listening to it. That's why I make dam sure people who are giving me info are honest about it and wanting to help.

I do know of one individual that uses leeches. You can order them by the pound. I used to use them all the time up north. I like them because bluegills can't strip the hook of your bait, but to much trouble to keep and feed.

lol. I know its not funny, but it is one of those not funny laughs when I picture people swimming in beaver and then all of a sudden coming out with leaches all over them. That would change a lot. Hey, look at it this way, maybe there would be less people willing to ski and stuff. :) Ok, so that's the selfish part of me coming out.

I have thought about using leeches in the past. I know of a pond that makes your skin crawl when you walk by it with all the leeches swimming in it. But I honestly do not feel like messing with them. I would think that it would take a major dump of leeches to get an established population though. I would think the stray one here and there would quickly be gobbled up by passing fish. The only waters I have personally been in that held leeches were those which did not have a high population of fish or have as many different species as we do in Beaver. But I am sure they could live in it in some places. I am no leech expert.

I lost faith in those reports a while back. Its funny though, because I know of two different guys who both commented on the report just this weekend and I gave the same example as you pointing out that its highly unlikely that walleye are actually being caught in 5'-10' FOW. I don't doubt that one would swim up that shallow at some point in the night, but I have not been catching them that shallow since the middle of June. After that I was consistently catching them at 20'-25', so it only makes sense they would be deeper than that at this point.

Ya I can think of a couple creeks and ponds as well thinking about it but still wouldn't do it. You think leaches will be bad imagine guys bringing up bait from the AR River and having some flying carp in with them they thought were shad, that get released in the lake. Picture Mr Wake boat with tubers in tow going 30mph down the lake when they come across a school of 30lb flying carp and get hit by them. That will cause a major reaction I bet, it would be a big hit to tourist dollars when the waters are to dangerous due to flying dangers.
